DeviceCheck is designed so camera and microphone media can be tested locally in your browser.
Camera and microphone
When you start a camera or microphone test, your browser asks for permission. The media stream is used by JavaScript in the page to display video or calculate an audio level. The site does not intentionally upload or store the media stream.
Analytics
DeviceCheck uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage, such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device type. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers and processes information under Google's Privacy Policy. DeviceCheck does not use the camera or microphone media stream for analytics.
You can limit analytics by blocking cookies or analytics scripts in your browser. DeviceCheck does not currently display advertising or use affiliate tracking.
Permissions
You can revoke camera and microphone permissions at any time through your browser settings.
